Topic gender vs.Sexuality
There seems to be a huge misunderstanding between gender and sexuality.Take this experiment.Close your eyes.Pretend you dont have a body.Do you feel male or female.That is your gender.When your gender does not match your body you are considered transgendered.Sexuality is who you are sexually attracte to and they are totally separate issues.You can sexually be heterosexual,homosexual,bisexual or asexual regardless of your gender.There is no pat answer to this question and there are many varieties and combinations of gender and sexuality.Please respnd to my topic and please remember to be respectful and non-judmental.I look foward to hearing from you,Much love,namaste,xoxoxo,JennirellaSexirella

I live the distinction between body, gender and sexuality. It is nice to see your approach that emphasizes that our usual association of one to another is one of convenience, and not a statement of fact.
ReplyDeleteAs you illustrate, once you start to sesparate the three terms, then other terms such as gay, bisexual, lesbian become trickier to maintain, as do the social institutions that rely upon body/mind/sexuality constructs of a limited type- ie body matches gender and desire if for the opposite.
There's a lot of room for change and growth and it is nice when one sees these explained in a public forum.

GENDER VS. SEXUALITY:
Gender ID: Refers to ones sense of oneself as a Male or Female or Trans-gender.
Sexuality Orientation: Refers to ones Sexual attraction to Men, women, both or neither. Gender ID ( Sense of oneself as male or female) one ACTS, INTERACTS, or FEELS about them selves. SEX - Birth Sex - Refers to biological status ' as male or female. Sexuality is Physical - Purely Physical.
From my own experience and Gender ID. There are many different Gender ID´s. FTM, MTF. GAY, LESBIANS, BI , etc. I am a FTM Gender. I live as a male, my presence is that of a male. The types of women who are attracted to me are straight, or Bi - sexual. I do not have a need to go through the reassignment procedures, EXCEPT, I will have my chest groomed for I want to have a tighter chest, I like wearing my tanks and cut off T´s. I do not have a need to change my name, for I like my name and if some one has a problem with it not fitting my appearance, that is their problem. I do not live in fear of who I am, I walk my talk, and it is that simple for me. Although I have had to go through my own time of therapy and work on my issues in order for me to get to where I am with my self today.
SEXUALITY: Is just Sex. physical Sex. One may be sexually attracted to male, female, male to male, female to female, etc. I am totally attracted to FEMALES, not all, only a female who chemically attracts me. I am not sexually aroused by JUST ANY FEMALE, and I do not do SEX. SEX is SEX. I make LOVE, I SHARE MY SOUL. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. I LOVE TO MAKE LOVE. I can have sex any time. However, Making love is different. I also believe there are many types of Sexuality Attractions. I hope some one else will jump in and give their insight, feelings on this topic. Thank you, love you
